Just getting in from a group ritual/party for Mabon and wanted to write down some of the thoughts that occurred to me at the gathering. This blog has been up for almost an year (about ten months) and it has come far but still has much room to grow. I have went from nothing and no visitors to subscribers and many daily visitors. For that I wanted to say "thank you" to all of you out there that follow this blog. Hope that you continue to stay with me for years to come.
For those who don't follow this blog and happened to just find me today, I think introductions would be in order. My name is Patrick and I have been Wiccan for twelve years and a father for nearly nine. I have not always been about raising my children in my faith. My first wife was Christian so we kept religion out of the picture, with my oldest child, Juliet. But my second and current, wife, Danielle, is Pagan and so we made the decision to raise our little Lassair, as a Wiccan. Who by the way loves her daily prayers to the Goddess and God.
This choice led to the starting of this blog and in turn that led to me finding FWTI. Which is a great organization focused on the idea that one's family should be their first and most important coven of their life. This is a mission that I have latched onto and believe wholeheartedly.
One of the mottoes that I live by is 'Family, Faith, Country'. To me this is the best way to live one's life. Family and self should come first, followed by faith or religion and lastly by patriotism. So in this next year I am going to turn the focus of this blog onto not just traditions but the role of the family and each individual in it as well. So I hope that you subscribe (if you haven't already), and join me on this journey again through the Wheel of the Year.
This all being said I have an announcement to make. Me and my wife are now expecting our second child together. As I get updates I will share them with all of you.
My blessings to all of you on this glorious Equinox. Here is to hoping that all finds you well.
Blessed Be!
