Pinwheels are a great activity for kids to make during the summers. The bright colors and spinning of the spiked disc is representative of the sun.
Materials Needed:
- A square piece of construction paper
- Thin wooden dowel
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Push pin
- Fold your square corner to corner and then unfold.
- Make a pencil mark about 1/3 of the way from center
- Cut along fold lines stopping at pencil mark
- Bring every other point into the center and stick a pin through all four points.
- Stick the pin in the wood dowel.
Take the time to do these crafts and spend the time with your kids.
